This book isn't for beginners, but it's very good for someone who's played a recorder before (or can figure out the fingering chart) and can read music. There's a nice selection of songs for many different holidays, and a good mix of one-, two-, and three-part songs. The chord guide for guitar/piano accompaniment in the back is helpful too.
